Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms & Conditions/Terms”) are legally binding between you ("You or Participant") and Isha Foundation ("We" or "Us") for your registration to participate in Inner Engineering 7 Steps with Sadhguru ( Online ) (“Program”).

You agree that by registering for this Program and accessing this Site www.isha.sadhguru.org ("Site"), you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If You do not agree with all of these Terms, then You are expressly prohibited from using the Site and you should discontinue your use of this Site immediately.

You hereby represent and warrant that You are competent to enter into these Terms. You confirm that You have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. We reserve the right to revise the Terms & Conditions at any time and at our sole discretion.

1. USER REGISTRATION:

a. The minimum age limit to participate in the Program is 15 years. For people registering below 18 years, parental consent is required. 

b. In order to participate in the Program, you may be required to register and create an account on the program portal. You will receive a confirmation of your account’s creation through the email address you provide during registration.

c. When you register for the Program, you are agreeing to: (i) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and (ii) maintain and promptly update your registration information to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete.

d. We have a right at our sole discretion to immediately suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future participation in the Program (or any portion thereof) if You provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, erroneous or incomplete; or We have reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete;

e. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and shall not share it with anyone.

f. Your registration for the Program will be complete only after You receive an email confirming Your registration and participation.

g. The Program registrations are subject to availability and we shall not be liable in case You are not able to register for the Program.

h. This Program is open only for Indian Participants and only Indian modes of payments will be accepted.

i. Once you select a language during registration, it cannot be altered, and no refund will be given for such language changes.

j. Language upgrade from Vernacular to English Language can be done within 10 months from the date of registration subject to the provisions mentioned in Clause 5.4

k. Kindly note that only English and Tamil language Programs are in the voice of Sadhguru. This Program has been dubbed in all the other languages in Our efforts to make this possibility available to all. 

l.  Please be aware that providing incorrect information in your registration form to gain unauthorized access to the program will be deemed as a breach. In such instances, You will be held liable to pay the full program fees and may also face legal consequences for this violation under applicable law.

2. PROGRAM GUIDELINES:

  • The Program consists of 7 steps.  The first 6 steps are self-paced and can be taken as per your convenience.

  • The 7th step involves the transmission of the powerful Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya. This is offered live only on select dates.  

  • Because this is a step-by-step process, you will not be able to attend the subsequent session if you miss or drop out of any of the previous sessions.

  • To take part in Shambhavi Mahamudra initiation (Step 7, session 2), you must complete the first 6 steps, and attend Session 1 of Step 7. Multiple dates will be available to take part in initiation.

  • It is optimal to complete the 6 self-paced steps within 7 days, and attend the transmission of Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya the next available weekend. However, if this is not possible, please ensure that you complete the program through Step 6 within a maximum of 30 days after your registration date.

Due to the nature of the program and to allow for an experience as close to the live programs as possible, each step is designed to be watched only once. However, to ensure seamless experience and to support you go through each step in its entirety, we are offering a one-time rewatch upon request,  for steps 1- 6. Please note that, it's possible to re-watch a step only once. This is not applicable for  Step 7.

Below are a few guidelines to ensure You receive the Program in its totality and integrity:

Technical Requirements:

Hardware requirements (Mandatory): - You will need compatible hardware, such as: 

  • Laptop/desktop computer or iPad / Tablet, compatible with the latest version of Chrome (recommended), Firefox, or Safari browsers.

  • A functioning webcam (inbuilt or external).

  • Mobile phones are also supported. The Sadhguru App needs to be downloaded. (Android version 7 and above; IOS version 12.4 and above)  

  • Stable internet access with sufficient bandwidth of 2.5 Mbps / adequate data pack

  • Operating System: Windows 8 or later (or) Mac OS X El Captain 10.11 or later, some Linux versions, iOS 13 and above for iPads, and Android version 9 and above for tablets.

  • Speakers (any kind of headphones or devices in touch with the body may not be used)

  • Expected Data usage is 500 Mb / hour.

  • Wi-fi or wired internet connection is recommended. You can check your bandwidth here (link).

Ensure to keep your phone on Do Not Disturb during the program. Please ensure that the device you use for the Program is charged to ensure minimal interruption.

Before beginning the Program, please make sure that all of your hardware and software are completely functional. The Isha Foundation is not liable for any device or network problems or service interruptions that may occur during your session.

Please be aware that photographing, screen-shotting, screen-recording, and/or recording any part of the Program, whether by video or audio, for any reason is strictly banned. To learn more, please visit our Intellectual Property Rights section.

PROCTORING / MONITORING

For the Step-7 (Transmission of Shambhavi Mahamudra), you agree to allow a proctor to monitor your participation in the Program by accepting this agreement.

When you join Step 7 (Transmission of Shambhavi Mahamudra) of the Program:

  • You must keep your camera turned on during the session and be fully visible on video so that the proctor can assist you when needed.

  • Make sure the room is well lit so that your face is visible.

  • This is necessary so that we can assist you during the session.

  • During the session, you must maintain chat and video contact with the proctor.

  • You understand and agree that the proctor will not record anything throughout the session or during any contact between the participant and the proctor.

If necessary, you agree to grant a proctor visual access/inspection of your premises.

If the proctor encounters or observes any activity that is deemed vulgar, insulting, abusive, criminal, or otherwise improper, or not adhering to the guidelines of this program they reserve the right to discontinue your participation.

CREATING A CONDUCIVE ATMOSPHERE

  • Please login at least 20 minutes before the start of each session.

  • It is critical that you sit alone in a quiet, secluded area for the duration of the session.

  • Please make sure there are no external interruptions or distractions (like using the restroom, taking calls, or checking messages). If you have children or pets who may cause you to be disturbed, please make sure they are well cared for.

  • If you have family members who have registered for this programme, please make sure they are in a separate physical space and that each of you has logged in to the sessions independently, through different devices.

  • It's best to sit on the floor and make sure you have enough space (about 3ft x 6ft) to do the yogic practices. You can use a chair if you have a physical condition that prevents you from sitting on the floor.

  • Please dress comfortably so that you can sit on the floor and complete the practice comfortably.

  • Please bring a yoga mat or a bed sheet.

  • Please keep an empty stomach for the duration of the session, which implies a four-hour gap between your last complete meal and the start of the session. During the sessions, please do not eat or drink anything.

3. HEALTH GUIDELINES

The material given on or through the Site, as well as the programme offered, are not intended to replace professional medical advice and treatment.

Contact your medical or mental health specialists before registering for the Program if you have or suspect you have a medical or mental health concern.

Prerequisites for the Program in terms of health:

  • Before beginning the Program, you must agree and accept the medical disclaimer.

  • You must have received previous consent from your physician/doctor to participate in the Program.

You must notify us as soon as possible if you develop any of the following health issues after registering:

  • Suffering from a [new] injury, disease, or other medical ailment

  • During a yoga lesson, if you experience any pain or discomfort.

  • If you feel any of the exercises in a yoga class would be dangerous or uncomfortable for you.

If we believe your health situation does not allow you to participate in the Program, we have the right to exclude you from the Program at our sole discretion.

Injuries or benefits: The Program is exempt from any representations, warranties, undertakings, and guarantees. We make no representations, warranties, undertakings, or guarantees that you will not be injured as a result of participating in our Program, either directly or indirectly; or that your fitness will improve measurably as a result of participating in the Program.

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Program, You agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, that You might incur as a result of participating in the Program.

In further consideration for being permitted to participate in the Program, You hereby knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive any and all claims, liabilities, demands, expenses, fees, legal actions, rights of action for damages, personal injury, mental suffering and distress, or death (“Claims”), including legal fees or expenses, that You may suffer or that Your spouse, parents, children, or unborn children may suffer in connection with Your participation in the Program. You agree to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Isha Foundation, including its trustees, representatives, teachers, instructors, co-instructors, presenters, facilitators, employees, agents, volunteers, and independent contractors (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”), from and against any loss, cost, or liability incurred in defending any Claim made by You or anyone making a Claim on Your behalf, even if the Claim is alleged to or did result from the negligence of any of the Indemnified Parties or anyone else.

To the full extent permitted by law, You and Your legal heirs or legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue any of the Indemnified Parties for any Claim caused by any negligence or other acts of the Indemnified Parties.

4. PAYMENT

4.1 The payment must be made in full before the commencement of the Program. 

4.2 We accept the following mode of payments, i.e., Debit / Credit Cards, Net Banking, e-Wallets and UPI. 

4.3 In the event the prerequisites as mentioned in these Terms & Conditions are not fulfilled, We reserve the right to cancel Your registration and the refund will be done as per the Cancellation and Refund Policy provided below

5.  REFUND, CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULE, RE-REGISTRATION, TRANSFER POLICY & LANGUAGE UPGRADE

5.1 Refund Policy:

5.1.1 Participants who have registered for the Program can apply for a refund only if they have NOT ACCESSED the course and within 30 days from the date of registration and payment. After 30 days from the date of registration and payment, and/or once you start the Program, there is NO REFUND.

5.1.2 If a refund request is received before starting the Program, and within 30 days from the date of registration and payment, 90% of the program fee will be refunded. In case of any discount applicable on the Program fees, 90% of the discounted fee shall be refunded.  You will be able to avail the discount only when the same is announced by Us. 

5.1.3 The request for refund should come from your registered email id by raising a request for the same  on support.ishafoundation.org. The refund will be processed within 30 days, provided that all the required documents are in order.

5.1.4 Participants who have registered for the Program by using a gift coupon are not eligible for a refund. 

5.2 Reschedule & Re-registration Policy:

Please note that the reschedule policy is applicable only to Step 7, Transmission of Shambhavi and is subject to availability of Step 7 dates at the time of rescheduling. 

5.2.1 Participants will have either a total of 3 chances to reschedule their Step 7 dates, or 1 year from the date of registration to complete the program, whichever comes first, after that Your account will be deactivated.

5.2.2 To clarify further, Your account will be deactivated under any of the following conditions:

a. You have not selected Step 7 dates within one year from the date of your registration. Please note that Step 7 dates are subject to availability and may not be offered every weekend; OR

b.. You have not completed Step 7 within one year from the date of your registration; OR

c. You have exhausted all three reschedule chances.

5.2.3 To reactivate your account, You will need to re-register by paying 50% of the current program fee, without any special discounts.

5.2.4 Once you re-register and reactivate your account by paying a 50% program fee, Your re-registration shall again be subjected to conditions under clause 5.2.1, 5.2.2 and 5.2.3.

5.2.5 You can start the program from the step You were on once the account is reactivated or you can start from Step 1.  

5.3 Transfer Policy:

5.3.1 You can transfer to any of the following Isha Yoga programs happening at the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore, India subject to availability of the seats only if you have NOT ACCESSED the  Program. You shall pay a transfer fee equivalent to 15% of the program fee (15% fee of the Program you are transferring to) and you shall also pay the difference in program fees, if any:

  • Inner Engineering Retreat

  • Yogasanas

  • Surya Kriya

  • Angamardana

  • Eye care program

5.3.2 For all transfers, the program is to be taken within one year from the date of  original registration.

5.3.3 You can transfer only once.

5.3.4 The registration is non transferable to another person.

5.3.5 Participants who have registered for the Program using a gift coupon are not eligible for Transfer to another person or any other program. 

5.4 Language Upgrade

5.4.1 A participant may upgrade from a Vernacular Language program to the English program only within ten (10) months of their initial registration date.

5.4.2 Eligibility for a language upgrade is contingent upon the participant not having started Step 2 of the program. . Upon starting of  Step 2, a participant shall not be eligible for a language upgrade.

5.4.3 The upgrade fee shall be determined by the difference between the current Program Fee of the English Language program and the Vernacular Language program. The participant's original registration fee shall not be factored into the calculation of the upgrade fee.

5.4.4 No Refunds shall be made once the Language upgrade is made, even if the refund request is made within 30 days of original registration for Vernacular Language.

5.4.5 Language upgrade option is not available for bulk registrations or corporate registrations. 

We reserve the right to revise the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time and at our sole discretion.

6. ADMISSION:

We reserve the right to allow admission into the Program and/cancellation of Your participation at Our sole discretion.

7. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION:

The Participants  acknowledges that participation in the  Programs and visiting our site is done voluntarily and that you alone are 100% solely and personally responsible for your participation in our site, Programs and for any outcomes or results that result therefrom (whether positive or negative). You acknowledge that you have or will use your own due diligence and judgment before implementing any knowledge or information you received from our site, Programs. Isha Foundation is not responsible for any action you may choose to take regarding the information provided, and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible nor liable to you should you sustain any financial harm, physical injuries or any negative ramifications. The Participants acknowledges that the information contained on this site is intended as general information only and you agree that any decisions you make to implement or follow anything you find on the site are wholly your own.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

You acknowledge and agree that Your attendance and participation in the Program is voluntary. You agree to assume the risks associated with attending and participating in the Program to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law. To the extent permissible by law, You agree to indemnify Us against any and all claims, actions, losses and damages arising out of or relating to Your participation in the Program.

9. INFORMATION ABOUT YOU:

You consent to the collection and use of Your personal information that You provide in connection with the Program, by Us. We will use Your information to send details and announcements related to the Program to You. Any personal information that You provide to Us online will be handled in accordance with the laws and regulations of India. We are committed to protecting Your personal information and Your right to privacy. Our Privacy Policy governs the privacy policies of Our Site. You agree that We may use any information that We obtain about You in accordance with the provisions of Our Privacy Policy. Please read Our Privacy Policy carefully as it will help You make informed decisions about sharing Your personal information with Us.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS:

Unless otherwise indicated, the website is Our proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the Site (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the “Marks”) are owned by Isha, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and various other intellectual property rights.

The Content and the Marks are provided on the site “as-is” for Your information and personal use only. Except as expressly provided in these Terms & Conditions, no part of the site and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, screen-shotted, photographed, screen-recorded, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, downloaded, edited, broadcasted, transferred, taught, used, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial or non-commercial purpose whatsoever, without Our express prior written permission.

Provided that You are eligible to use the website, You are granted a limited license to access and use the site to which You have properly gained access solely for Your participation in the Program. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to You in and to the website, the Content and the Marks.

12. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES WHILE USING THE SITE:

You may not access or use the site for any purpose other than that for which We make the site available. The site may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by Us.

As a user of the site, You agree not to:

  1. systematically retrieve data or other content from the site to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from Us.

  2. make any unauthorized use of the site, including collecting usernames and/or e-mail addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited emails, or creating user accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.

  3. circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the site, including features that prevent or restrict the use or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on the use of the site and/or the Content contained therein.

  4. engage in unauthorized framing of or linking to the site.

  5. trick, defraud, or mislead Us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords.

  6. make improper use of Our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.

  7. engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to send comments or messages, or using any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

  8. interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Site or the networks or services connected to the website.

  9. attempt to impersonate another user or person or use the username of another user.

  10. sell or otherwise transfer Your profile.

  11. use any information obtained from the site in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

  12. use the site as part of any effort to compete with Us or otherwise use the website and/or the Content for any revenue-generating endeavor or commercial enterprise.

  13. decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the site.

  14. attempt to bypass any measures of the Site designed to prevent or restrict access to the website, or any portion of the website.

  15. harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of Our employees or agents engaged in providing any portion of the website to You.

  16. delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content.

  17. copy or adapt the website’s software, including but not limited to Flash, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code.

  18. upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Site or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the website.

  19. upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats (“gifs”), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as “spyware” or “passive collection mechanisms” or “pcms”).

  20. except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses the website, or uses or launches any unauthorized script or other software.

  21. disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in Our opinion, Us and/or the website.

  22. use the site in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations.

13. SITE MANAGEMENT:

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:

(a) monitor the site for violations of these Terms & Conditions;

(b) take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in Our sole discretion, violates the law or these Terms & Conditions, including without limitation, reporting such user to law enforcement authorities;

(c) in Our sole discretion and without limitation, refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable (to the extent technologically feasible) any of Your Contributions or any portion thereof;

(d) in Our sole discretion and without limitation, notice, or liability, to remove from the site or otherwise disable all files and content that are excessive in size or are in any way burdensome to Our systems;

(e) otherwise manage the site in a manner designed to protect Our rights and property and to facilitate the proper functioning of the site. In addition to terminating or suspending Your account, We reserve the right to take appropriate legal action, including without limitation pursuing civil, criminal, and injunctive redress.

We cannot guarantee the site will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the website, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. We reserve the right to change, revise, update, suspend, discontinue, or otherwise modify the site at any time or for any reason without notice to You.

You agree that We have no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by Your inability to access or use the Site during any downtime or discontinuance of the website. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions will be construed to obligate Us to maintain and support the site or to supply any corrections, updates, or releases in connection therewith.

14. DISCLAIMER:

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. You agree that Your use of the site services will be at Your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the site and Your use thereof, including, without limitation, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the site’s content or the content of any sites linked to this website and We will assume no liability or responsibility for any (1) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content and materials, (2) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from Your access to and use of the site, (3) any unauthorized access to or use of Our secure servers and/or any and all personal information and/or financial information stored therein, (4) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the site, (5) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like which may be transmitted to or through the site by any third party, and/or (6) any errors or omissions in any content and materials or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the site. We do not warrant, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any product or service advertised or offered by a third party through the site, any hyperlinked site, or any site or mobile application featured in any banner or other advertising, and We will not be a party to or in any way be responsible for monitoring any transaction between You and any third-party providers of products or services.

15. LICENSE TO USE ITEMS:

In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the Program, You grant Us an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and license throughout the world and in perpetuity to reproduce, edit, publish, distribute or translate, for promotional/educational purposes, all or any part of the following items ("Items"): (a) all still photographs (b) all audio and video recordings in connection with the Program. You consent to the use of the Items pursuant to the foregoing in perpetuity without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from You and waive any moral rights You may have in the Items

16. WAIVER OF LIABILITY:

In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in the Program, You hereby warrant and represent that You are 18 years of age or atleast 15 years of age with parental consent and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue Us or Our members, employees, board members, agents, or volunteers for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, disability, property damage, or property theft or actions of any kind that You may hereafter suffer or sustain before, during, or after the Program, unless said expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, disability, property damage or property theft or actions of any kind is caused by the sole, gross negligence of Us. This Waiver of Liability is specifically binding upon Your heirs and assigns and is knowingly given by You.

17. FORCE MAJEURE:

In the event that it is made impossible or impracticable or illegal to proceed with or carry out this Program in whole or in part, due to any natural calamity, general or specific order of government, fire, casualty, flood, earthquake, war, strike, demonstrations, lockout, pandemic, epidemic, destruction of its facilities, riot, insurrection, power disruption, technical difficulties, internet connectivity, materials unavailability, or any other cause(s) beyond reasonable control and as a result thereof, there may be delay, postponement, rescheduling, termination and/or cancellation of this Program, and We will not be liable for any losses or damages incurred by You.

18. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

In the event of any dispute between the parties the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction on such disputes. If there is any conflict between these terms and rules and/or specific Terms & Conditions appearing on this website relating to specific material then the latter shall prevail. These Terms & Conditions and Your use of the website are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

19. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

In no event will We or Our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of Our respective officers, volunteers, agents, partners, teachers, trustees, founder and employees be liable to You or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from Your use of the site, even if We have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, Our liability to You for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the cost of the Program.

20. INDEMNIFICATION:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Us harmless, including Our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of Our respective officers, volunteers, agents, partners, teachers, trustees, founder and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of Your participation in the Program and/or breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, We reserve the right, at Your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which You are required to indemnify Us, and You agree to cooperate, at Your expense, with such claims. We will use reasonable efforts to notify You of any such claim, action, or proceeding which is subject to this indemnification upon becoming aware of it.

21. MISCELLANEOUS:

Any modifications to the Terms & Conditions will be posted on this site. The modified Terms & Conditions shall also be binding upon You.
