Maha Arati

The Maha Aarti is not just beautiful – the visual impressions and sounds make it an overwhelmingly exuberant experience if you allow it. This is what human life is about – breaking your limitations and expanding your horizons. – Sadhguru

Purnima Pooja

Every Purnima is celebrated at Linga Bhairavi with an elaborate abhishekam and a vibrant offering of music and dance. Devi takes on different forms during the pooja, thereby creating an explosion of energy with songs extoling Devi at her fullest glory. Devi remains in flaming crimson for the next 24 hours bestowing infinite grace to her devotees.

One can participate in the abhishekam by either offering the main abhishekam as a family, or by being a part of the pooja. Offering the Purnima Abhishekam is particularly beneficial for the overall wellbeing of the family, good health, success, and prosperity. In a sacred ambience, participants are offered tools to connect with Devi to experience her energies. On this powerful night, the temple stays open till 12:30 am for devotees.

Maha Arati

Every Purnima and during other major festivals, a grand procession of the Linga Bhairavi Utsavamurti (a consecrated form of Devi) happens in the Dhyanalinga Parikrama.

Devi begins her majestic walk with an offering to Trimurthi. She then progresses in all splendor, lit by the rising full moon and heralded by conches, trumpets and resounding drumbeats. Men decked as traditional warriors, with faces reflecting the flickering torch flames, carry red flags and fire poles and are led by a group performing Kalaripayattu – the ancient Indian martial arts.
