Poem: ageless
In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru pens a new poem, expounding on man’s compulsion to stop the aging process, rather than seek ultimate beauty through the spiritual seed. “Of age and agelessness/ age is of the body and/ agelessness is a matter of spirit.” Enjoy!
Of age and agelessness
age is of the body and
agelessness is a matter of spirit.

Those stuck in biological tangle
wish for eternal youthfulness.
When one wants to stop aging?
is it about infantile inadequacies
or of compulsions of adolescence
or maturity of middle age.
Well, does no one value ripeness
of wisdom, the privilege of the Aged.
Fragility of the infant, freshness
of adolescence, a measured approach
of the middle ages. Above all
ripeness of spirit, where it is
not about the sweet flesh
nor the smooth skin but only
about the spiritual seed.
Though all have their place
and time. In the blossoming
of the Being lies the beauty of
Life.
