We woke up to another rainy day in Manasarovar, not badly raining, but enough to keep things interesting. We drove to Kailash for just a couple hours, stopping off to get our lunch bags and to make a few circles around a stupa to ensure that our journey up Kailash would go well.

We reached Shershong where we got some last minute instructions then split into small groups and got our porters (and some got their ponies) who would help take our bags up for us. Fortunately, by the time we started our climb, the rain stopped and it turned out to be a beautiful day. This allowed us to see clearly 2 of the 4 sides of Kailash, first was the West side, which was at about the half way point of the climb. We could see the Northern side which was just at the base where we stayed, called Diraphuk. From there we had a most amazing view of Kailash, it was certainly a powerful moment for all of us.

After a wet and chilly night, we started early on the 11th day of our journey and climbed up to a small clearing just a few hundred meters from the base of Kailash. This was as close as anyone can get, and it was amazing. We went thru a meditation process and performed a Guru Pooja, a ceremony to thank and recognize all the great masters that have come in this tradition.

After the steep but exhilarating climb down, and a bit of rest, Sadhguru came in with a storm... literally. During the time he came, a burst of heavy rain and light hail came rushing in, almost like it was following him up the mountain. We all greeted him, and he us with his presence. In the evening, he gave us a Sathsang in one of the most amazing places on this planet, Kailash Mountain, what more could we have asked.
