In the midst of the blitzkrieg Cauvery Calling campaign, Sadhguru flew to Delhi to attend the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP 14) on 9th & 10th September.

On 8th September, the UNCCD accredited Isha Outreach, acknowledging its potential to combat desertification and revitalize water resources and agriculture in the tropical world.

Sadhguru was invited as a guest speaker to address the august gathering on 9th September, along with Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

Sadhguru met prominent national and global change makers and environmental stalwarts, all of whom unanimously showed great support and encouragement for the ongoing Cauvery Calling campaign.

It was touching to see the amount of support that Cauvery Calling garnered at the conference.

The UNCCD COP14 event was a resounding success, as relevant and prominent people engaged in a free-flowing exchange of ideas – an apt display of how ecology is a global concern that demands an intelligent and sensible participation from the international community. Cauvery Calling found widespread recognition and appreciation at the event and Sadhguru’s message resonated with the entire audience.
