How To Get There
The Isha Yoga Center is situated 30 kilometers (20 miles) west of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore, a major industrial city in southern India, is well connected by air, rail and road. Major airlines operate regular flights to Coimbatore from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Train services are available from all major cities in India.
There are direct buses between Coimbatore and the Isha Yoga Center (view the timetable).
Taxis are available from the airport and railway station. Alternatively, contact the Yoga Center’s 24-hour travel desk to book a taxi.

Margazhi Sadhana is open to those who have completed Inner Engineering (including Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya).
The residential program will be conducted only in English. Translation in other languages will not be available.
The Margazhi Sadhana is specially designed by Sadhguru and includes guided sadhana in the morning and evening, an afternoon sadhana schedule, Mahamantra chanting, Teerthakund dip at Brahma Muhurtam, a conducive diet, and participation in certain cultural aspects of Margazhi.
The program is designed to deepen and intensify the practices you have already learned. Participants in the Agni category will learn Bhastrika Kriya, while those in the Jala category will learn both Bhastrika Kriya and Shanmukhi Mudra.
To register for Margazhi Sadhana, you must have received the transmission of Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya before the program start date.
The stay will only be available for the duration of the program. Check-in and check-out details will be shared upon registration.

Ensure you pack the following minimum recommended items for your stay:
- Light clothing sufficient for seven days or the duration of your stay, whichever is shorter. A paid laundry service is available for Jala and Agni participants staying beyond seven days. Bhoomi participants staying beyond seven days can bring the necessary items for washing clothes.
- A light sweater, shawl, and woolen cap
- Light rain gear, such as an umbrella or raincoat
- Toiletries for daily use
- Two towels
- Regular and essential medicines
- Sports footwear
- Water bottle and/or flask
- Wristwatch
- Yoga mat, cushions, and meditation chair
- Flashlight
Bhoomi category participants are requested to bring their own bedding.
For maximum benefit, it is best to keep your phone usage to a minimum during the program. There will be a designated time allocated for phone usage.
During sadhana, we recommend comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Outside of sadhana sessions, we request participants to wear formal Indian attire. You can also bring a pair of celebratory clothes for any events that may happen during your stay.
Yes, temperatures can drop to around 15°C before and after sunset during this time of the year. It is advisable to bring warm clothing to ensure your comfort.
Sadhguru will offer four Darshans at the Isha Yoga Center during the month of Margazhi – 22 Dec, 31 Dec, 5 Jan and 12 Jan. The Darshans will be open to all, including those who have not registered for the Margazhi Sadhana program.

There are 3 types of accommodation:
Jala – AC twin-sharing cottage accommodation
Agni – Non-AC twin-sharing cottage accommodation
Bhoomi – Dormitory accommodation
Bedding will be provided to all participants of the Jala and Agni categories.
Participants in the Bhoomi category are requested to bring their own bedding.
Limited parking spaces are available near the Isha Yoga Center. It is advisable to use public transportation.
Only registered participants with an e-Pass can attend the program.
Program accommodation is only for registered participants. If your relative or friend wishes to stay at the Yoga Center during your sadhana period, you can book accommodation for them at cottage.isha.in.
Program accommodation is only for registered participants, and childcare services will not be available. Please make the necessary arrangements for your children accordingly.
Two wholesome, vegetarian meals will be provided at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Additionally, a hot drink or kanji will be served in the afternoon.
It is best to follow the diet designed by Sadhguru throughout the sadhana period.
The diet provided during this sadhana will be suitable for most health conditions. Please share the details of your health condition at support.ishafoundation.org for further guidance.
Basic first aid and medical assistance will be available at the Isha Yoga Center. Any serious medical conditions must be reported to the Margazhi Sadhana program team well in advance.
We recommend you bring all your essential medicines. If your health condition is unstable, it may be best not to participate in the residential program.
