Margazhi sadhana is a program designed by Sadhguru to bring balance, stability and vibrancy. This sadhana is designed to make use of the natural forces at play during this time of the year to bring physiological, psychological, and energetic balance to your system.
Guided practices, spending time in consecrated spaces and other elements of the sadhana offer an opportunity to pitch up your sadhana and accelerate your inner growth.
Margazhi Sadhana is open to anyone aged 15 or above and has completed Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya.

The program is designed to deepen and intensify the practices you have already learned.
One needs to be initiated into Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya before the program start date. Once initiated, you can register for Margazhi Sadhana.

Bedding will be provided in shared stay facilities (mattress, pillow, linens)
Blanket - bring a blanket if possible or if you are traveling by car. Some blankets will be available for borrowing if needed.
Bath towel
Flashlight - mandatory at night
Yoga mat
Water bottle
Comfortable clothing and warm layers (laundry room not accessible)
Slippers or sandals (that can be used in the bathroom)
Toiletries
Medications that you regularly take
Pain relieving oil/ cream

For maximum benefit, it is best to keep your phone usage to a minimum during the program. There will be a designated time allocated for phone usage.
We recommend comfortable, loose-fitting clothes for the yogic practices that you will be doing. Please support the spiritual focus of the Institute by avoiding tight-fitting or revealing clothing, including shorts, tank tops, etc. Full-length pants, cropped pants, or knee-length shorts are appropriate. Shoes are removed when entering any indoor spaces. Due to the gravel paths, rugged soles are preferable.

At the Isha Institute at Tennessee, Sadhguru darshan streaming is part of the residential program schedule.
At the Isha Yoga Center at LA, Sadhguru Darshan will be streamed during the below timings:
Sun, Dec 17th: 7:30-9:30 pm
Sun, Dec 24th: 7:30-9:30 am (followed by brunch and Volunteering Retreat)
Sun, Dec 31st: 6:30-8:30 pm
Sun, Jan 7th: 7:30-9:30 am
For online program participants and non-participants, Darshan will be live streamed via the public Sadhguru YouTube channel on Dec 24th and Dec 31st for Christmas Eve and New year’s eve.

There is no fee for the Online sadhana or the sadhana at Isha Yoga center at LA. However, Isha Foundation incurs considerable costs to facilitate an event of this scale. Your generous contribution will allow us to offset the costs and continue to offer powerful tools for inner transformation to all seekers, fostering a conscious planet for all.
For the residential program at Isha Institute, TN, even though there is no fee for the sadhana, there is a fee associated with stay. Please check the Sadhana Details section for details.

Accommodations will be provided in shared stay areas to all participants as part of program registration. All participants staying will sleep in a shared space and keep their luggage in designated areas. Bathrooms and showers will be available nearby and bed linens will be provided.

Isha Center will provide basic first aid and medical assistance. Any serious medical conditions must be informed to the Margazhi Sadhana program team well in advance.
We recommend that you bring all your essential medicines. If your health condition is unstable, we suggest you avoid participating in the residential program. You can participate in the online program.

Masks and social distancing are recommended in common indoor spaces. Masks may be required in spaces like the Abode, based on the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Yes, there will be sufficient time available to make use of the consecrated spaces at the Center.
Participants are required to stay in the Center for the entire duration of the program.
Given that this sadhana is designed to allocate dedicated time for your inner growth within a structured schedule, it won't be feasible to engage in work activities during this period.
Upon arrival, you may obtain the wifi credentials at the welcome center. For maximum benefit, it is best to keep your phone usage to a minimum during the program. There will be a designated time allocated for phone usage.
Please ensure that you pack an ample supply of clothing to last for the entirety of your stay, as laundry facilities will not be accessible.
Childcare facilities are not available at the center.
