Hoskote Silk

Hoskote is a weaving center near Pavagada Taluk in Karnataka and is recognized as one of the silk hubs.

Today, Hoskote silk is one of the lesser-known weaves of Karnataka but these saris were once woven in large numbers.

They are treasured for the fineness of the silk used to weave the fabric and the use of pure zari in the border and the pallu.
