The Bangalore Inner Engineering program with Sadhguru was conducted from the 5th-7th of July. Here’s a look back on the preparations and event from the eyes of an Isha Yoga Teacher.

Preparations for the program began 2 months in advance, and as soon as we started spreading the word through brochures and advertisements, the registration team was on the job, stretched thin to respond to all the enquiries which were pouring in every day, asking about this opportunity to be with the Master himself.

The setup for the program started in the wee hours of the morning of the 5th, and a growing sense of excitement and anticipation allowed a huge amount of activity to fall into place almost effortlessly. By 5 pm, we were all ready to welcome the participants and Sadhguru.

To a group of about 300 participants, in his inimitable way, Sadhguru began the program by introducing the profoundness of yoga. By day two, Sadhguru began to open up other aspects of yoga and asanas, and the participants received the preparatory steps for the Shambhavi Mahamudra. His inclusiveness (expressed not just in words), and detailed explanations of each and every step made it easy for the participants to relate to the ancient science of yoga as vitally relevant to their everyday life.

By Sunday morning, the participants were filled with cheer and exuberance as they stood up and shared a new feeling of connection with Sadhguru and with the people around them. The subsequent Shambhavi Mahamudra initiation had participants sitting in deep meditation, experiencing the exuberant stillness of Shambhavi.

As the program came to a close, it was obvious that the participants were touched by what they had experienced. Their eyes expressed their gratitude for an experience beyond any they had imagined. As Sadhguru left the hall, the lingering tunes of Alai Alai played as a reminder that this “Wave of Bliss” was just beginning.

A participant shares: “I initially attended a sathsang with Sadhguru about six years ago and I’ve been waiting for this opportunity to attend Inner Engineering with him and it’s happened today. Things that our parents, our grandparents, our teachers, and our elders haven’t told us, he tells us in so many different ways, and he just makes it happen. I am so thankful to him and to God that I have found him as my Guru.  My spiritual journey starts from here with him, with his Inner Engineering Program. It was absolutely amazing.”
