"The achievement we celebrate today is but a step, an opening of opportunity to the greater triumphs and achievements that await us. Are we brave enough and wise enough to grasp this opportunity and accept the challenge of the future?"

Jawaharlal Nehru's Tryst with Destiny speech, August 15, 1947, marked the birth of a nation, along with the hope for a future free from poverty and injustice. 65 years later we are still struggling to transform these hopes into a reality.

Right now, India's destiny is being shaped in her classrooms. 450 million children comprise the heart and soul of India, but they themselves are discouraged by what they see and how little the future holds for them. If these children are inspired and well-educated, there will be no limits to what India can achieve. Education is truly the gateway to an independent nation.

Join the movement to transform a child's life this Independence Day. Let's Empower India's GenerationNEXT and spark a wave of real Independence.
