Mallapanur silk

Mallapanur silk saris are known for their fineness and softness. Located in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu, Mallapanur village is a part of the sari weaving belt of the region.

Mallapanur is a traditional handloom silk weaving center renowned for their pure silk saris. The weavers’ produce is sold around India and exported to many countries around the world. These saris are distinguished by the softness of the silk fabric.
