Isha Vidhya is an Isha Education initiative committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and help disadvantaged children realize their full potential. The project seeks to ensure quality education for children in rural areas, opening the door for them to participate in and benefit from India’s economic growth.

The Isha Vidhya schools not only offer affordable, high-quality education in rural areas but also aim to take education beyond literacy and rudimentary skills, thereby empowering rural children to participate globally. Isha Vidhya actively promotes education of female children and
works on increasing educational awareness in rural societies.

Isha Vidhya’s uniqueness lies in its high potential for scalability and replication. It follows a carefully planned methodology which includes English computer-based education and multiple-sensory learning methods that take education beyond recitation and memorization. Knowing that school is not just about learning the basics, the Isha Vidhya schools enhance the academic syllabus with a wide range of extra-curricular activities, events and competitions.

So it came as no surprise to the teachers that awards have been coming in from all sides since the school began. We’ve highlighted a few awards that the students and staff have earned in the last few months.
