Annadanam And Offerings

Individuals and families can make an offering of certain materials (e.g., flowers, neem) that would be needed for the Guru Purnima celebration. For those who are unable to attend the event in-person, these offerings allow you to touch the life of a loved one by making an offering on their behalf.
One can also offer food to those joining the Guru Purnima celebration at the Isha Institute in one’s own name or in honor of another. Traditionally this is known as Annadanam.
The tradition of making a sacred offering is an important part of Guru Purnima allowing this auspicious occasion to be available to all.
