Rs. 60 Lakhs Raised for Isha Vidhya through Mumbai Marathon

Over 200 Isha volunteers from Mumbai participated in the Mumbai Marathon on 16th January to raise funds for Isha Vidhya. Three of them completed the full marathon, 80 ran the 21 km half-marathon, and the remaining 120 participated in the 6 km “dream run.”

Sounds of Isha played to resounding applause and acclaim by participants, along the route of the Marathon at Marine Drive. The run for Isha Vidhya raised over Rs. 60 lakhs through sponsorships. A dedicated team of volunteers had put in seven months of meticulous planning, mobilization, coordination and follow-up to make this fundraiser the success that it was.

In its eighth year, the Mumbai Marathon drew a total of 38,400 participants from India and around the world, and many more to cheer them on. They all were accompanied by the tunes of Sounds of Isha who played on Marine Drive to the resounding applause of the crowd.
