Isha Research Center
Study on Samyama Benefits
Isha Research Center is conducting a study on the benefits of the Samyama program. The study comprises surveys for physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing and optional blood and stool studies before and after Samyama.
Surveys: All samyama participants are invited to take the first baseline survey now, or as soon as possible. At the end the survey, there will be an opportunity for spouses (or other household members) to participate in surveys as controls. The first survey and optional blood/stool studies will close on Feb 15, 2018. All Samyama participants and spouses are encouraged to participate in the surveys.
Blood and Stool studies: At the end of the first baseline survey, a limited number of Samyama participants and controls (non meditating spouses & household members) residing in USA will have the option to participate in blood and stool studies. After the first survey is completed, the research team will contact interested participants and household members to make arrangements for the blood draw at home or in your city within the next two weeks (before Feb 15th, 2018). It will take about a week to arrange a phlebotomist and mail blood and stool collection supplies to your home. Timely completion of the survey will give you the option to participate in blood and stool studies. There is no cost to you to participate in any of the studies.
