What is Project Samskriti?

Project Samskriti is an endeavor to nurture, preserve and showcase the magnificence of classical Indian arts as possibilities for transformation and inner growth at a time when these art forms are being practiced just as hobbies.

These performances and workshops are offered by advanced students and alumni of Sadhguru Gurukulam Samskriti, who have undergone extensive training and have an experiential understanding of the impact of these classical arts.

What the Tour Will Showcase

Indian Classical Music

Born out of a deep understanding of life and creation, Indian classical music and has been a vehicle for many to reach their ultimate nature.

Bharatanatyam - Indian Classical Dance Form

Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest classical dance forms that originated in southern India. Initially practiced as an offering in temples, Bharatanatyam today has adapted and evolved to be one of the most prevalent performing arts.

Kalaripayattu - The Oldest Form of Martial Arts

Among the oldest martial arts in the world, Kalaripayattu is said to be the basis for other South Asian arts of combat. It employs bare-fisted techniques as well as sticks and other weapons.

Tour Details

As part of the North America tour, Project Samskriti will be offering in-person workshops teaching classical dance, music, chants and Kalaripayattu. Additionally, the team will also be offering performances showcasing the rich culture of Bharat.
