Significance
It helps children to establish freedom from the comfort of the womb and prepares them for participation in the world. It also stimulates growth of the brain and nervous system.
Adults and children of any age may also offer their hair to Devi symbolizing freedom from the past (Kesha Arpanam).
Ritual Details
Chuda Karma is available for children up to 12 years of age.
All children’s rituals include:
Adorning the child with a blessed garland and tilak.
An aura cleansing process to remove negativities.
Vibrant chants to invoke Devi’s grace.
An offering of samarpanam and arati for the wellbeing of the child and family.
Tying of a consecrated Devi Abhaya Sutra to the child’s wrist for their growth and stability.

Since this is a one-step registration process, if you were unable to complete the payment in the first attempt, you will need to fill up the registration form again. We recommended that you register and make the payment from a desktop or a laptop.
If you are not able to register even after a few attempts, we recommend using an alternate browser and email ID, and also clearing the page history / caches.
You can bring offerings such as flowers, fruits, incense or other items. Please ensure that the offerings are not made of plastic and that the edible offerings have no eggs and are vegetarian. These offerings can be made either before or after the ritual.
