Our hiring process for faculty and staff focuses on individuals who are aligned with the overarching aims and objectives of the school, and committed toward their own inner wellbeing and development.
When it comes to qualifications and professional development opportunities, here is what we offer:
- Upon joining, all teachers undergo workshops on crafting term plans, lesson plans, evaluation mechanisms, and other documents to help them prepare for class.
- All teachers undergo training in classroom management, code of conduct on how to be with students, dealing with students with learning challenges, and maintaining appropriate student-teacher interaction.
- New teachers are assigned mentors who help them navigate the school procedures and guidelines. The Heads of Departments and School Coordinators also mentor the teachers in subject specific areas.
- Those teaching Grade 9 and above are periodically sent to attend training programs conducted by the CISCE (ICSE Board Council).
- Visits to various schools are organized for teachers to understand and absorb best practices.
- Isha Home School also periodically organizes in-house training by leading experts from various educational institutions and universities.
Currently the school has qualified coaches for athletics, kho kho, badminton, volleyball and football. The school also has competent coaches for cricket and table tennis.
