Juliet Namuddu Nambi, Director of Education for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) explores with Sadhguru, yogi and visionary humanitarian the possibilities, visions and expectations of education in Uganda: despite the economic status of parents, is it really possible for our children to blossom into adults who will spontaneously ‘go on planting mango trees without thinking whether they will get to eat the fruit or not’?

SADHGURU SCHOOLS

“Education needs inspiration, not just information. Only inspired human beings can transform their own lives and lives around them.”

Through education, Sadhguru Schools aim to transform and invigorate a new generation of rural African youth to become changemakers, dedicated to improving the communities and world they inhabit.

Sadhguru’s vision is for of a network of schools across Africa which provides high-quality English-medium and activity-based education to rural children who could not otherwise afford it. Students will graduate with essential skills to become innovators and leaders, thereby invigorating farming communities to become centres of economic, environmental and creative growth.

Sadhguru School (Ndali) near Fort Portal, Western Uganda, is the first such school, and will be inaugurated with a special In Conversation event with Juliet Namuddu Nambi and Sadhguru on 16th June 2016.
