A special annual Vidyarambham is also conducted on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, or Dussehra.

Depending on the child’s age, either application of energized Teerthakund water on the child or them taking a dip in the Teerthakund.
Adorning the child with a blessed garland and tilak.
An aura cleansing process to remove negativities.
Vibrant chants to invoke Devi’s grace.
An offering of samarpanam and arati for the wellbeing of the child and family.
Tying of a consecrated Devi Abhaya Sutra to the child’s wrist for their growth and stability.

You can bring offerings such as flowers, fruits, incense or other items. Please ensure that the offerings are not made of plastic and that the edible offerings have no eggs and are vegetarian.
These offerings can be made either before or after the ritual.
