In November last year, nearly 200 entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs aspiring to scale up their business and personal capabilities came together to attend a very special business leadership program called INSIGHT: The DNA of Success. Designed by Sadhguru and facilitated by Dr. Ram Charan, globally renowned CEO Coach, the panel comprised some of the most successful names from the Indian business sphere, including KV Kamath and GM Rao.
The second edition of the program will be underway from 23 to 26 November 2013 at Isha Yoga Center. Leading up to this exciting event, we bring you a video series called the “The Business of Wellbeing” in which Sadhguru is interviewed by Vivek Law, Editor, Bloomberg TV India. In this fourth instalment, Sadhguru talks of the idea behind INSIGHT and how it seeks to provide small and medium businesses with the tools and know-how they need in order to scale up.
In this 2012 interview, Vivek Law asks: “What is the idea behind INSIGHT?” Talking of the thousands of small and medium businesses in India that are in the range of Rs 250 crore to Rs 750 crore, Sadhguru outlines the various impediments they face – financial, psychological and practical.
The interviewer asks: Why is it so difficult to make the transition between a small business and a large one? Is it that they find it difficult to let go of control? Sadhguru’s response is typically both incisive and compassionate: “Suppose you’re playing on a trapeze bar, unless you’re sure of catching the other bar, you won’t leave this, isn’t it? It’s unfair to ask him to let go of this when he’s not sure if he can catch the other one. So INSIGHT is an effort to help people have the necessary insight to see where the other floating bar is. That it’s not so much of a risk as they think.”
Editor’s Note: INSIGHT: The DNA of Success – A Leadership program with N.R. Narayana Murthy (Founder, Infosys), Ronnie Screwvala (Founder UTV Group (Now Walt Disney India)), and Sadhguru is going to conducted from Nov 26 – 29, 2015 at the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore.
