Sadhguru had an online discussion Erik Solheim, former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, who now works with Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and other environmental organizations. The pair had a wide-ranging conversation touching upon various aspects of soil and spreading the Save Soil message. They discussed the urgent need to change the perception from soil being a bunch of chemicals or dirt to seeing it as a living entity.

Big Sean spoke about the urgency of this movement and how it is not about some event in the future but a situation that is a disaster in the making right now. Sadhguru explained how the microbacteria in the soil is connected to the microbiome in our gut, which in turn affects many things such as how we digest food, our mental balance, and emotional stability.
Popular Indonesian actress Raline Shah and Sadhguru had an online conversation about the Save Soil movement. Sadhguru spoke about the danger of food shortages and the importance of food security. He highlighted that food shortages can dismantle civilizations that took millennia to build, in a matter of days and weeks. Part of maintaining food security is making sure countries can produce essential food to sustain themselves without needing to rely on imports. He also talked about our ability to experience life beyond the boundaries of limited identities.
In an online conversation with Arundhati Bhattacharya, former Chairperson of the State Bank of India, Sadhguru spoke about the process of photosynthesis, the basis of complex life on the planet. He explained that this process sustains all life on the globe through a series of exchanges and more importantly for us, it is what keeps carbon in the soil and not in the atmosphere where it can create the ecological issues that we are facing.
He also offered a shift in perspective, clarifying that he is not an eco-warrior, but functions naturally out of a profound love affair with all life.
Sadhguru performed Bhoomi Pooja at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the upcoming Isha Yoga Center, Bengaluru. Speaking about the exciting possibility, Sadhguru pointed out how being involved in building a Yoga Center from scratch is a completely different experience than going into a well-established place. He encouraged everyone to participate in this process.
