Exactly one year after Sadhguru started on his 100-day, 30,000 km Save Soil journey across 27 nations to activate citizen support and prompt governments to form policies, Sadhguru highlighted the impact of the movement in a tweet, saying that “On this day, a year ago, we started the Save Soil movement from London. Thanks to billions of people who have put their hearts and hands into the movement to make it the largest people’s movement ever on the planet. Congratulations and thanks to all the Nations which have started framing soil policies. The need of the hour is urgency to revive world’s agricultural soils and regenerate microbial life, and in turn ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Life.”
Mayors across North America have acknowledged the importance of the movement by issuing over 40 proclamations recognizing 21 March as Save Soil Day. This occasion is now being observed in major cities such as Washington D.C., Edmonton, Calgary, Charlotte, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.
The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) Water Sustainability Awards acknowledged Sadhguru’s contributions by bestowing him the Water Champion Award for his environmental initiatives, such as Project GreenHands, Rally for Rivers, and Cauvery Calling, which address the urgent need to increase green cover, revitalize Indian rivers, and restore soil health. TERI’s Water Sustainability Awards aim to encourage the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on Water.
Sadhguru was invited to the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai, where he was warmly welcomed by Nita and Mukesh Ambani.
Speaking about the significance of this newly opened center, Sadhguru said, “India is so rich in arts, music, and various cultural aspects, but we have been bogged down by a certain level of economic deprivation. Now, the economic situation is on an upsurge, so arts and music are coming up. So a center like this in Mumbai is a real boon to bring that back. It’s fantastic that Nita ji has invested her heart and soul into making this happen.”
The event was attended by the who’s who of the Indian entertainment industry, such as Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh, as well as global stars and personalities like Gigi Hadid, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Penelope Cruz. Prominent figures from various other fields, including sports, business, and more, were also present.
Excited for all the events and activities coming up in their region, volunteers from all around the Bengaluru area came together for the very first Sadhguru Darshan at the Sadhguru Sannidhi, Bengaluru. Sadhguru spoke about how the current generation is giving too much importance to expression, and not investing enough in perception. Sadhguru said that when your perception is much greater than your expression, you will start scaling down your karmic load.
Speaking at The Economic Times India Leadership Council in New Delhi, Sadhguru was interviewed by Ananya Birla, who asked perceptive questions about death, rebirth, Gen-Z, and the essence of leadership. Sadhguru responded with trademark clarity and wit, peppering the answers with liberal doses of humor and insightful anecdotes.
Sadhguru inaugurated the G20 Golf Tournament at Delhi Golf Club, which saw participation from senior G20 diplomats, government officials, and other dignitaries. The event, aimed at promoting India as an emerging destination for golf tourism, took place during the country’s year-long G20 Presidency. Commencing on 1 December 2022, the presidency follows the theme “One Earth – One Family – One Future.”
Addressing members of FLO, the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Sadhguru pointed out that the only problem in the world is unconscious human beings, and if we want to live well, there is an urgent need to provide tools for transformation.
Sadhguru was invited to give a keynote address at the Asian American Hotel Owners Association Conference of 2023, where he spoke about the theme “Honoring the past and creating a bolder future. He underscored that the only way to truly achieve this is by raising the consciousness of every human being.
Sadhguru addressed the volunteers at Isha's new Center in Los Angeles, highlighting the importance of consecrated spaces. He emphasized that while buildings can be consecrated, only humans can become conscious. He highlighted the need for a spiritual community – a sangha – to continuously support and nurture one’s longing to grow.
