With the majestic 112-ft Adiyogi in the backdrop, Anand Narasimhan from CNN News18 sat down to interview Sadhguru about Save Soil. Anand acknowledged Sadhguru’s incredible feat of riding over 28,000 kilometers on a motorcycle, while conducting almost 700 events across 27 nations. The conversation soon shifted to current social topics such as activism, nationhood, and mental health, inviting some thought-provoking perspectives from Sadhguru.

A few days after the Save Soil journey ended, Sadhguru also gave an interview to Malayalam news portal Asianet News. He answered questions about the phenomenal response that the movement has received across the world, the tough terrain that he had to tackle, and what governments can do to avert soil extinction.

Describing the Save Soil movement and the impact it has had on the global ecological conversation, Sadhguru outlined the importance of creating national soil policies to ensure soil health for generations to come. He also underscored the need to separate the issue of soil from other ecological concerns.

North America’s Non-Resident Indian Vysya Association (NRIVA) invited Sadhguru to be the main speaker at their 6th Global Convention. He spoke about not getting entangled with what one gathers, the illusion of individuality, raising kids, and of course – Save Soil!

Save Soil at the Iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai

5 July

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lit up in support of the Save Soil movement. The world’s tallest building hosted a stellar light show to draw the world’s attention to the issue of soil degradation. Before the projection, Sadhguru spoke in a video address to Save Soil volunteers, expressing his gratitude to everyone who has lent their support in making Save Soil the biggest people’s movement in the world.

Guru Purnima Satsang with Sadhguru

13 July

Spiritual seekers from around the world had the opportunity to be in Sadhguru’s presence for a special Guru Purnima satsang that was streamed live from Isha Institute of Inner-sciences. Sadhguru explained why and when a Guru becomes relevant in a person’s life, and the different ways of approaching a Guru. Answering questions that came in from social media, he talked about the profound symbolism of Kali, the spiritual aspect of his globe-trotting, and mitigating an unfolding ecological disaster.

This satsang was part of “In the Lap of the Master” at iii, a two-day event that was attended by over 1300 eager seekers from across North America. Being in Sadhguru’s presence, going through powerful meditation processes, and experiencing his wit, humor, and incisive insight in person, left the participants with a deep sense of sweetness and devotion.
