UAE’s Environment Minister Supports Save Soil (18 May)

H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of UAE, met Sadhguru and pledged her support for the movement. She also took Sadhguru to a mangrove plantation and showed him the various efforts that are made to reclaim desert land and make it fertile. They both planted mangrove saplings.

In his opening speech, the Ambassador of India to Oman, Amit Narang, commended Sadhguru for his exceptional leadership, grit, and endurance toward the message of Save Soil, which he deemed as being of global significance that unites humanity. Sadhguru expressed his great privilege to be in Oman, the last nation of the Middle East leg of his 100-day journey.

Bharat Welcomes Sadhguru (29 May)

After 70 days on the road, Sadhguru arrived at Jamnagar, Gujarat, for the final leg of the Save Soil journey in India. At New Bedi Port, the Indian Navy’s premier technological training institution INS Valsura hosted Sadhguru. He was felicitated by Commodore Gautam Marwaha VSM, the Commanding Officer of INS Valsura.

The huge open-air venue for the public event was full to the hilt with people waiting enthusiastically to welcome Sadhguru, who arrived in his hometown to great fanfare and affection. Sadhguru revealed that through his motorcycle journey that started in London, the Save Soil movement had already touched over 3.2 billion people. Recalling a talk by Sadhguru at the recent World Economic Forum (WEF), Suttur Math’s Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji pointed out how Sadhguru emphasized that the global forum should come out with implementable actions. Swamiji added that “Only a saint can have the daring and the guts to say such a thing in a global forum. All Indians should be taking pride in this matter.”

Speaking about the importance of conducting intelligence consciously rather than compulsively, Sadhguru explained that in terms of the ability to destroy and create, human beings stand above all other creatures.

The Save Soil Journey Culminates at Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore (21 June)

After the resounding success of the Save Soil movement worldwide, Sadhguru's lone motorcycle journey culminated on the International Day of Yoga at the Isha Yoga Center in the presence of Adiyogi. The full-time volunteers and brahmacharis of Isha Yoga Center went went all out to organize a grand welcome for Sadhguru. The event included candid sharings from volunteers who were travelling with Sadhguru and ended with Sadhguru highlighting the significance of what has been achieved in the last 100 days.
