Annadanam

“In our tradition, serving spiritual seekers and monks has always been of utmost importance. This can be a path in itself. The most beautiful expression of this is the Annadanam – the sacred offering of food.” - Sadhguru

At Isha Yoga Center, thousands of sanyasis, brahmacharis, residents, and volunteers have dedicated their lives to working in the various spiritual and social initiatives of Isha to enhance human wellbeing. Twice a day, Annadanam is offered to these sadhakas, and to guests and visitors. Through a simple act of donating Annadanam, you can touch another life and enrich your own.

Annadanam is offered on special occasions such as Guru Purnima to people who visit Isha Yoga Center. It is also offered on every Purnima (full moon) and Amavasya (new moon), all year long. Annadanam is not just an offering of physical nourishment, it is the distribution of prasadam by the willing hands of volunteers.

Isha Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization founded over three decades ago by Sadhguru, which addresses all aspects of human wellbeing. It is based at Isha Yoga Center near Coimbatore, India. The Foundation offers powerful yoga programs for inner transformation and is an essential resource for those who wish to explore the ancient science of yoga in all its depth and dimensions.
