Pedagogy

In order to encourage a holistic, integrated, and personalized experience, the school purposefully attempts to blur the distinction between what is conventionally defined as curricular and co-curricular. Academic study is seen as one component of a much larger educational experience. In addition to the subjects of examination, the students have a wide range of options to choose from, and they pursue specific activities under the guidance of teachers and visiting experts. As per the requirement of the prevailing conditions of society and the expanding capabilities of the staff, the school adapts itself to meet the educational needs of each student.

Aims & Objectives

All aspects of the school are designed to kindle the innate urge within every child to learn and know. The prime focus is not only on developing a child’s intellectual capacities, but also to provide opportunities to explore other dimensions of life.

More specifically, the aims of the Isha Home School are to:

  • To provide children with an inspiring and loving atmosphere that is devoid of fear, ridicule, and comparison.

  • To provide children with the opportunity to take up responsibility for themselves and others in order to develop in them a sense of commitment and enable them to contribute to the world in which they live.

  • To allow a child to grow with an uncluttered intelligence so that they can perceive and experience life as it is, without distortion.

  • To nurture children into sensible, respectful, and vibrant human beings who are open and willing to question themselves and the world around them.

The school’s educational approach encompasses a range of direct and indirect methods to achieve the above.

Diversity & Inclusion

Isha Home School endeavors to build a strong, inclusive community that will prepare students to live in a global society. All members of the school community are expected to conduct themselves in an ethical, safe, responsible, and inclusive manner that recognizes and respects one another. The school does not propagate any particular religion, but rather encourages the child to approach the world with an open and unbiased perspective.
