Poem: My Secret
In this week's Spot, Sadhguru sends us a new poem from the U.S. called "My Secret" which gives us a glimpse of his boundless compassion. "Let me tell you my Secret/ I have not one but two hearts/ One that always bleeds/ Another that rejoices in all." Images from the latest "In Conversation" from Duke University are also included. Enjoy!

My Secret

Let me tell you my Secret
I have not one but two hearts

One that always bleeds
Another that rejoices in all

One that bleeds for the Worm
Another rejoices for the Bird

Bleed I do for the Vanquished
Rejoice I will for the Victor

Death of a worm, insect, bird
animal or man and of course
of the plant and tree, I bleed

I rejoice all that is life
Here and After.

Love & Grace

Namaskaram Sadhguru - blessed we are to live in the space and time you live - while people ignorantly go on bleeding on others' rejoice and rejoice on others' bleeding.

I interpreted his words the same way as Deepanjali. However, I like Sanjeev's interpretation as well. It's interesting how we can all interpret his words differently yet find our own beauty in it.

when one is on the path leading away from liberation, the heart suffers or bleeds. When the path is leading towards liberation heart is in joy or rejoices.

But why should You bleed for the worm n vanquished? Rejoice for the bird or the victor? Isnt duality the two faces of same coin? arent You keepin one above the other how can worm b lesser than a bird? Just trying to understand in what context You wrote this poem.

when one can fly , one is only dragging itself - This bleeds the heart. When one flies it rejoices the heart.

"one that bleed for the worm
Another rejoices for the bird"

Beats normal logic about love and compassion. It takes a lot of profound insight to see that the worm (Swallowed by the bird) is becoming a part of a greater life form.

Worm is eaten by the bird - Hence "bleed"
Bird has its stomach full after eating the worm - Hence "rejoice"
