Hata Yoga is the phenomenon of aligning the human system with the cosmic -- a way to hold one's system in a way that it will become a receptacle to receive and hold the entire cosmos.

We are excited to announce that for the first time, a 21-week Isha Hata Yoga Teacher Training program devised by Sadhguru, is to be held at the Adiyogi Alayam. Open to meditators and non-meditators, it is an unparalleled possibility to experience and acquire a complete understanding of the yogic system.

This program will bring forth the original purpose of yoga: to help one experience the fundamental nature of their existence and the profoundness of Hata Yoga, derived from the ancient tradition of Southern Mysticism in India.

The training program designed by Sadhguru himself will begin on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima on July 3rd, 2012 with Sadhguru initiating students into the training. The program is specially structured with various components - the appropriate diet for a yogic lifestyle; learning about the human body and its functions in depth, and exploring the numerous asanas in detail; pilgrimages to sacred places in Southern India and sadhana in those places that will support the training; simple aspects of Ayurveda and Siddha treatments.

At the end of the course, after careful assessment of the students' performance during the training, teachers will be qualified to establish their own studio or teach private lessons. This will be a means to re-establish Hata Yoga in its classical form and allow people to benefit from this ancient science.
