15 Aug - This year the Independence Day celebrations involved all sections of the school. The theme was "The Three Stages of the Independence Movement" which traced the Freedom Struggle from 1857 to 1947.

The Junior School students gave an endearing presentation of the 1857 struggle and the conditions leading to it.


This was followed by the second phase which traced the key developments between 1858 and 1914 which included a segment on Kalaripayyatu a martial art form from Kerala that was banned by the British. This segment was presented by the Middle and Senior school.

The last segment featured the Jalianwala Bagh incident and the advent of Mahatma Gandhi on the Indian National scene. This was presented by the Class VIII students. The celebrations were witnessed by a record number of parents who were on parent visit.
