It's winter in most parts of the world, a time when so many of us end up with a bout of the common cold. A cold is known to run its course for at least 7 days, but we bring you a few home remedies from Isha Arogya to help you along.     

  • Tulsi and Pepper: 

    Grind a handful of Tulsi leaves along with about 10 black peppercorns. Consume three times a day.
  • Spanish Thyme and Pepper:

    Take about 7 leaves of Spanish Thyme and 10 black peppercorns. Grind them together and consume three times a day. Spanish Thyme is sometimes called Country Borage or Queen of Herbs. In India it goes by the names Karpooravalli (Tamil).
  • Ginger Concoction:

    Mix 4 teaspoons of ginger juice, 4 teaspoons of honey and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice in three-quarters of a cup of water. Consume.
