An Outpouring of Devotion

This vibrant song was composed by Shivayogi Siddharamayya, an outstanding Kannada poet from the 12th century who was also part of the Bhakti movement. Among many devotees from the period, Siddharamaiyya was regarded as one of the most acknowledged and respected.

This song, Shiva Shiva Vachana, contains simple yet powerful words through which Siddharamayya poured out his devotion to Shiva. He says "Oh mind, worship Shiva and become Shiva!"
