Mani Seva

Offerings to Devi

Gobichettipalayam

A sacred offering of sound to Linga Bhairavi Devi by individuals or families at her abode in Gobi.

Significance

  • This is a unique ritual to seek Devi’s grace where a devotee wears a consecrated Devi shawl and rings a set of 11 bells for 11 minutes—a number which is significant to Linga Bhairavi.

  • The sound of these bells can clear the accumulation of negativities that one may have gathered. Being in the sphere of Linga Bhairavi during this offering is particularly beneficial for children with ailments or in a disturbed state. Adults and entire families can also benefit by being physically presence during this offering.

Ritual Details

  • The 11 minutes of the sound offering is followed by chants, which allow one to connect with Devi, and a samarpanam offering and arati for the wellbeing of the devotee and their family.

  • Mani Seva is available from 6:18 to 6:29 every morning and evening.

  • This offering can be done by individuals along with their families.
