Monsoon - The Dance of Life

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru writes about the vibrant monsoon season. “Monsoons are the best times out here at the foothills of Velliangiri. We first moved into this place 20 years ago when the monsoon was at its severest and best.” A new poem on “Monsoon” accompanies the Spot. Enjoy!

Monsoon

As monsoon rains lash
sometimes furious, at times gentle
big blobby drops that could hurt
or fine needle spray – enchanting
puddles of water upon the mud tracks
Trees and plants seem to be boiling
in joy, moving with the wind or moving the winds
at times furious or just still
Dance of life and life making material
How well orchestrated these two months are
will determine the life for the coming year
for all the creatures including humans
in this part of the world. Monsoon this
time around not soon enough. Many
an anxious eye scanning the skies
to see and receive the lively dance of life.

Monsoons are the best times out here at the foothills of Velliangiri. We first moved into this place 20 years ago when the monsoon was at its severest and best. I personally enjoy this season very much though everything gets slowed down, wet, sometimes knee deep water, being soaked to your bones is normal. The fury of the winds and showers are rejuvenating and transforming. Last two weeks of being here has been great. This evening is the starting of the Inner way Program. Thinking of slipping out of full-fledged participation in these events after this one.

With new dispensation at the helm in Delhi we are spared from daily quota of scams but the nation is reeling under the trauma of sexual assaults on women, and children are not spared either. The mindset of various political leaders has not helped at all. The barbaric acts of sexual violence have left society numb and helpless. Understanding the mental make-up of a rapist is a complex process. A whole lot of rethink on many levels of our social life, values, social structures and gender related education and awareness need to be addressed.

Protecting our girl child is of vital importance in nurturing a healthy society. A society that does not respect or take care of its women cannot progress or prosper. Hope the coming years will be towards the blossoming of the feminine.

Love & Grace

I guess this will be the last Inner Way, at least the way it presently is with Sadhguru around majority of the time in the program and lots of opportunities for the participants to interact with him. Maybe in the future he will be present only to initiate the participants into kriyas and not for the whole length of the program.

I am always worried at the way Sadhguru is working day in and day out,day after day, year after year without taking a break for himself, without getting proper sleep or rest just for our sake who hardly contemplate on his sacrifices ! I think that as His disciples we should feel happy about this and pray that He should get some breathing space between His tight schedules and relaxes for the sake of all of us.My Pranams at His Lotus Feet !

Got to say 3 things...

1...
Wish there's enough rain for all. Those in impoverished locales suffer rain at times. So, wish Grace takes care of everyone's need at the best!

2...
Sadhguru once said that because people run away from rain, 'rain too runs away from them'. Another time, he encouraged enjoying it for better health, constitution and more. So, the last time there was a downpour, I made it big. Wow! What an experience it was then and after! Many a things within just collapsed. Then, thunders were heard and lightnings followed. But, this inner reality came to be known only later. I bow down to you, Dev. One can enjoy only by experience. So, waiting eagerly for the next shower. Bestow one soon for all of us to relish and rejuvenate.

3...
Crimes against women and children. Let every non-sense end with your Grace in this World, in this Existence. Before you came into my life, I had more encounters with rogues of this kind. Somehow, they wanna express their lust. And, I have managed to move off with little annoyance. After your walking into my life in 2008, I realize such stupid encounters aren't happening now. Sadhguru, I have fallen flat for Thy Grace. May I know Thy Being Ever. May everyone know This Bliss.

PASSING ON 2 BIG THINGS...

FIRST BIG THING...
Sexual abuse is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. I read somewhere that a child's life can be ruined by sexual abuse, for its the most damaging than any kind of physical or mental or verbal abuse. Just felt like sharing this, so it can be useful to every life, every parent out there. I'm referring to an article that was published in Forest Flower. I think that was out on December 2012-issue. Whatever follows is my understanding of what was there..."If parents are in contact with Sadhguru in some way or through some spiritual process' practice, then as their well-being is ensured, the child's well-being is also taken care of. This is very true for children aged between 4 and 21(included)." In an age like this, when crimes are rampant, I feel Sadhguru's Grace can get us through everything. As far as my understanding of the aforesaid article goes, I'm damn sure that by Sadhana, parents can help not just themselves, but also their kids out.

SECOND BIG THING...
I'm really not sure if I can type this out and here. But, I feel its worth-sharing and here I go ahead. Sadhguru has talked about Yoga always. My understanding of His Words (from Mystic's Musings and some other book) follow..."We know life through four ways: 1. Body, 2. Mind, 3. Emotions and 4. Life Energy. Yoga is about enhancing LIFE ENERGY. As a result, body, mind and emotions blossom. Suppose there's a problem with the body, Yoga enhances the very Life Energy, the very Source of Life within that the body's condition is set right. Yoga also makes the Life Energy vibrant. And that makes life situations better for the practitioner, helps avert undesired people and situations as well." By this and by my own experience, I'm sure Sadhana will take care of us Meditators. I'm doubly sure every woman Isha meditator reading this will agree with me.

MAY HIS GRACE SEE US THROUGH...
