After the hot, sweaty and torrid month of May in Chennai with the Agni Nakshatram blazing at its peak, the Chennaiites had reason to breathe deep as a refreshing Wave of Bliss called Anandha Alai swept the city from end of May onwards. The wave, made up of 2000 volunteers, gradually took over 12000 newly initiated Isha Yoga meditators into its embrace. The wave and its effects were palpable in various centers all over the town where volunteers along with Isha Yoga teachers worked overtime to organize and conduct the Anandha Alai Isha Yoga Programs which culminated in the initiation into the Shambhavi Maha Mudra Kriya.

The Anandha Alai commemorates 25 years of Isha Yoga through a series of 7 day programs held all over Tamil Nadu. These introductory programs are designed to empower people from various walks of life and motivate them to attain peak physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing through simple, yet powerful ancient yogic methods. Again and again, participants expressed the remarkable changes that the kriya started to effect in their lives within just a few days of practice.

Anandha Alai Programs were also conducted for several corporates. Sadhguru's talks and the kriya made a tremendous impact on the employees, especially in their attitudes and interpersonal communications with co-workers. The course addressed many doubts that they had about how to cope with stressful professional situations. The programs gave them precious insights about how to overcome common office problems like lack of team spirit and lack of initiative.

For each participant, the Anandha Alai Program culminated in an "In the Presence of the Master" Sathsang with Sadhguru on 21 and 22 June at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai.
