Patanjali is known as the father of modern yoga and the author of the celebrated Yoga Sutras.

The Yoga Sutras are a brilliant exposition of life that is neither decipherable by the intellectual, nor open to interpretation by the poet. Sadhguru has said that it is like a string of formulae that explains life in its very depth, but it can only be understood by one who is in a certain state of experience.

The very way Patanjali put it together, he ensured that there would be no versions of it, and it would thereby be preserved in all its resplendent entirety and originality.

Sadhguru has said that the sutras hold such power within them, that if a person in a certain state of experience reads even one sutra, it will be explosive.
