World Health Week is a global campaign by WHO which focuses on a single health challenge with global impact each year. This year World Health Week takes place from 1st-7th April culminating on World Health Day on 7th April.

This year’s theme is "Good health adds life to years", in a commitment to provide better quality of life in addition to the increased life-span that we now enjoy. Over the past century life expectancy has increased dramatically and the world will soon have more older people than children. Populations are ageing everywhere, but less-developed countries are witnessing the fastest change. This social transformation represents both challenges and opportunities. In particular, countries may only have a single generation to prepare their health and social systems for an ageing world.

Towards this, Isha is conducting a week-long drive to spread health and wellbeing through a simple yet powerful meditative process called Isha Kriya. The purpose of Isha Kriya is to help an individual get in touch with the source of his existence, to create life according to his own wish and vision. Daily practice of Isha Kriya brings health, dynamism, peace and wellbeing. It is a powerful tool to cope with the hectic pace of modern life.
