Message for Kashmir Floods:

Our hearts go out to the people of Kashmir. This disaster that has been caused by the flooding of river Jhelum is unprecedented and the state was completely unprepared for a situation like this. India as a nation is responding wonderfully, as it should, to the plight of Kashmiri people. The quick response from the Central government, and above all, the stupendous effort of the Indian army, in rescuing hundreds of thousands of lives and rehabilitating them in many different ways, is truly commendable. We have to appreciate the effort the Indian army has put in to make this whole situation much less of a suffering than it actually would be otherwise. They have been at every disaster wherever it happens in this country. It is heartwarming to see that they are doing such a fantastic job. Our good wishes to them so that they will continue to succeed in saving lives in Kashmir. Our sincere and heartfelt regards and blessings to all the people of Kashmir – I hope they recover from this great disaster very soon.
