Sadhguru explains why Guru Purnima is so significant, and tells us how this is the day Adiyogi, the first yogi, became a guru, and transmitted technologies to evolve oneself beyond all boundaries. “The limitations of life and death, one can cross, if one is willing to strive for it,” Sadhguru says.

He also looks at how each of the full moons in a year have a unique quality, and how the full moon or Purnima, and new moon or Amavasya, are significant for spiritual seekers. He talks of a system of yoga calibrated so one can make use of the lunar and solar cycles, and take nature’s help.

Guru Purnima falls on July 9 this year. Join us at the Isha Yoga Center for a special satsang with Sadhguru (in-person or live webstream) or celebrate at your local Isha Center or at home.
