Inner Engineering Book
Sadhguru’s new book, Inner Engineering: A Yogi’s Guide to Joy, was released this September 20th, 2016. The book helps one to master the most sophisticated machine on the planet — the human being.
For the first time, Sadhguru will present Western readers with a path to achieving absolute well-being through the classical science of yoga in a practical, accessible book. The wisdom distilled in this transformative book offers readers time-tested tools for creating inner situations exactly the way you want them, turning you into the architect of your own joy.
In Inner Engineering, Sadhguru tells the story of his own awakening, from a boy to a young daredevil, to the moment of his enlightenment on a mountaintop in India, where time stood still, and he emerged radically changed. Today, as the founder of Isha Foundation, he lights the path for millions like you.
My aim in this book is to help make joy your constant companion. To make that happen, this book offers you not a sermon, but a science; not a teaching, but a technology; not a precept, but a path.”
Sadhguru is a realized yogi, mystic and visionary who has dedicated himself to the elevation of the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of all people. He is an author and opinion maker who is regularly invited to speak at leading international forums. He has spoken at many prestigious global conferences such as World Peace Summit at the United Nations and the World Economic Forum.
Sadhguru is often described as a contemporary spiritual leader, since he belongs to no particular tradition and incorporates aspects of yogic sciences that are most relevant for modern-day life into his teachings and practices. His scientific methods for self-transformation have universal appeal. Sadhguru’s insights into the mechanisms of life are an outcome of his profound experience of the Self, and serve as a guide to exploring the deeper dimensions of life. His life and work serve as reminders that the inner science of yoga is not esoteric philosophy from an outdated past, but is absolutely relevant and applicable to our lives today.
Sadhguru established the Isha Foundation, a volunteer-run international nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating human potential. The Foundation is headquartered at Isha Yoga Center in southern India and at Isha Institute of Inner-sciences in the United States. Under the guidance of Sadhguru and driven by a sense of oneness, love, and a deep longing to reach out and share, the Isha Foundation has also implemented several large-scale human service projects for rural upliftment, education reform, environmental stewardship, as well as holistic and healthy living.
Equally at home with bright-eyed children, world leaders, and people from all walks of life; whether trekking in the Himalayas or teeing off at the golf course, Sadhguru defies any narrow description. With a keen mind, balanced by a heart that knows no boundary, he spreads his zest for life to all who seek to live their lives to the fullest.
