Sadhguru: My house is generally full of all kinds of creatures. Sometime ago a young monitor lizard walked in. He was quite little and lived on the roof tiles in the corridor. He was well protected in the garden because they are no predators and he is the biggest guy. He started eating the birds, squirrels and snakes and having quite a good time. As the days passed he grew quite big and is almost four feet long now.

These days he camps out quite a bit, so it is okay but otherwise he keeps disturbing the tiles because he is too big. So long as he stays above the corridor it’s fine, but if he gets on the roof above the house, he dismantles the tiles when he moves and rainwater starts to get in. But we don’t want to chase him away because I am the alien resident, he is the local resident. According to my sense of property, I am the alien resident and he is the local resident, so he has more right than me to be there.

So I’ve been getting the roof tiles fixed in a certain way so that at least he cannot get inside the house, he can stay in the outside corridor.
