Anaadhi: Devotion Is That Which is Devoid of You (w/Poems)

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru defines devotion and shares a beautiful story exemplifying it. “Devotion has found so many forms of expression – from subtle and gentle, to fierce and extreme. Devotion essentially means you are making an effort not to have a will of your own, so that you arrive at the doorstep of the Creator absolutely willingly. Devotion is that which is devoid of you.”

If You Sit in a Pitch-Dark Space

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru writes about the beauty of darkness. “So darkness is only a problem for those who have unstable minds. If you have a stable mind, darkness is a very beautiful thing. It is the only thing which is eternal. The dark nothingness that is all-pervading is the very lap of creation. May you have the needed stability of mind to know the utter stillness and the eternal nature of darkness.”

Anaadhi: The Shift of the Equinox

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru writes about how the shift of the equinox effects the human system. “The duration of the sun’s run in the northern hemisphere of the planet is the time of fulfillment; the time from January to June is masculine in nature. Now we are in the feminine phase of the earth; these six months are the time of receptivity. So accordingly, spiritual aspirants shift their tone of activity.”

Anaadhi: A Dip into Your Eternal Nature

In the week’s Spot, Sadhguru continues to write about Anaadhi. “We are here at Anaadhi; a determined band of seekers is making a serious effort to take a dip into their eternal nature, the beginningless or the non-physical. One who is cleansed by this dip into the eternal nature of creation, the core element of our creation, is beyond the limitations of a mortal coil. May you know the bliss of the eternal.”

Life Is a Five-Cornered Game

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru talks about the 5 ingredients of life. “It is a five-cornered game – just five ingredients. Everything that you see in creation is just a juggling of these five things. Five is not a complicated number. Human intelligence should be capable of juggling five.”

Indira Gandhi Award for Environmental Work

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru shares a bit about receiving the Indira Gandhi Award. “Nice to see there is a genuine concern for the environment at all levels of society. If only you can bring in a sense of urgency, much action can happen. My receiving the Indira Gandhi Award for environmental work, the highest in the country, fortunately brought focus to the award itself.”

First Samyama Program in US

In this week’s Spot, Sadhguru writes about a pleasant surprise in the current Samyama. “The first Samyama program in North America went off in a fabulous manner. This ten-day marathon meditation concluded in a glorious way – the most fortunate aspect was that, incidentally, the Samyama main initiation took place on Buddha Pournima, or the full moon night on which Gautama the Buddha attained to the final state of enlightenment.”
