At the start of the new year, Sadhguru embarked on a multi-city tour, addressing a variety of gatherings in Hyderabad, Nellore, Tirupati and Vishakhapatnam. Below, enjoy glimpses and highlights from these events.

Jan 2 – An Evening with the Mystic in Hyderabad

Sadhguru presided over a gathering of nearly 4500 people from all walks of life at JRC Convention Hall, Jubilee Hills. Talking of the New Year that was just celebrated, he spoke of the significance of keeping time and the cyclical nature of physicality. Busting a few myths that are rife about spirituality, Sadhguru said, “If you eat badly, if you dress badly, people think you must be spiritual… but spirituality means to know the very core of what life is.”

In a detailed and fascinating exposition, Sadhguru touched on the limited nature of the senses, the four dimensions of the mind, the evolutionary process, the mass of memory that is contained in the human body, and the immense potential of being human.

During the evening, Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma released a new book in Telugu called ‘Himalaya Rahasyalu’ as well as a mobile app called ‘Yoga tools from Sadhguru’ which helps users adopt the simple but powerful practice of Upa yoga.

Jan 3 – “Nellore Next”

The following day, Sadhguru spoke at the “Nellore Next” event, organized by Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Parliamentary Affairs Shri Venkaiah Naidu’s Swarna Bharatam trust. Also present were Shri Kamineni Srinivas, Health and Medical Education Minister, AP; Dr. Ponguru Narayana, Municipal and Urban Development Minister, AP; and Mayor of Nellore, Shri Sheik Abdul Aziz. Over 1000 people, including prominent citizens of the town, attended the event.

Jan 4 – Nellore School Visit and Satsang in Tirupati

Sadhguru spent the next day at Akshara Vidyalaya, Nellore, interacting with students and teachers.

That evening, in a first of its kind event, the city of Tirupati played host to Sadhguru in a mega gathering of over 10,000 people. Tirupati locals from all walks of life including several groups from the student community thronged to get a glimpse of Sadhguru and participate in the much-awaited event. The event was was held at Sree Vidyanikethan College, Sree Sainath Nagar.

Shri Venkaiah Naidu also launched Sadhguru’s latest book in Telugu, “Asinchu Sadinchu”.

Jan 5 – Satsang in Vizag

Sadhguru’s first satsang in the port city of Vizag received an overwhelming response, with the venue – Port Stadium – completely packed. Over 5000 people attended the evening event.
