Sadhguru spent three days in Bhopal, meeting with and discussing various subjects with the state’s administration and the city’s who’s who.

Sadhguru arrived at Bhopal on 15th April and was received by the Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Sadhguru travelled to the Shivneri Ashram, on the banks of the river Narmada, where he took part in a special pooja.

In the evening, Sadhguru conducted a sathsang at Shivneri ashram, which was attended by the Chief Minister and several prominent members of the administration and society. Sadhguru spoke about Bhuta Shuddhi, and how living on the sacred river’s banks offered a possibility to be free of any disease.

When Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of Narmada Hospitals, asked Sadhguru to share a simple method to take care of the water element in our system, Sadhguru spoke about being reverential to the water that we drink, and other traditional methods used such as using a copper vessel to store drinking water and keeping a lamp lit near the vessel.

The next day began with a meditator’s sathsang with Sadhguru at Bharat Bhawan, in a hall named Antarang, which literally means “intimate.” True to the name of the hall, the sathsang, attended by the small band of 130 Isha meditators in Bhopal, Indore and Vidisha, was an opportunity to spend intimate time with Sadhguru and imbibe the grace of the master. Sadhguru answered questions including one on being a full-time volunteer when one still needs to fulfill family responsibilities, and another on the significance of Jyotirlingas.

The Mystic Eye event happened that evening too. Personal invitees of Shri Sudheer Agrawal and Smt. Jyoti Agrawal of the Dainik Bhaskar Group attended the event, which saw Bhopal’s who’s who soaking in Sadhguru’s wit and wisdom. When asked about Dainik Bhaskar’s #livenonegative campaign, Sadhguru explained that the initiative is about bringing positivity in our life, but since DB is a media group, they are doing it in their own style!

On the evening of 17th April, the MP government organized a function at the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan to inaugurate the conference on Value Based Living, a run-up to the Simhast Kumbh to be held in Ujjain in 2016.

Upon arrival, Sadhguru offered flowers to the statue of the father of our nation – Mahatma Gandhi. After a brief welcome address by the Chief Minister, Sadhguru spoke about the science of Kumbh Mela. He explained that on the Earth’s surface, from the equator till 33 degrees latitude, there are a few places which are meeting points of rivers. (These places are referred to as Prayags or Sangams) Here, because of a certain churning of water bodies, an energy situation is created and during particular times, the energy situation is particularly powerful. The Kumbh Mela offers the possibility of being in touch with this water on such occasions.

A lively question and answer session also followed Sadhguru’s address.

Sadhguru’s three-day visit has sown the seed of many Isha activities in Bhopal, and Isha Yoga programs will be starting in Bhopal at the end of April.
