Welcoming the New Year in a wonderful way, Isha launched a month-long Isha Kriya celebration in Chennai and surrounding areas. The official launch of the celebration was conducted at the Image Auditorium, MRC Nagar, Chennai. The evening was lit up by with a soul-stirring music performance by Sounds of Isha, with more than 4000 Volunteers coming together to support the month-long event.
Isha Kriya is a simple but powerful practice designed by Sadhguru. “Isha” means “that which is the source of creation.” “Kriya” means “an inward action towards that.” There is no dearth of meditation techniques on the market today. What makes Isha Kriya special is its simplicity and effectiveness. It does not require you to sit through a program to learn it, but can be taught to anyone, by anyone, anywhere, in a short time. 12 to 18 minutes of practice per day is all it takes to bring peace, dynamism, and wellbeing into your life.
Over the past month, over 25,000 individuals have been initiated into Isha Kriya in offices, public halls, auditoriums, and residential apartment complexes. The DVDs were also distributed free in over 100 major outlets including supermarkets, spas, and coffee shops. Over 300,000 Isha Kriya DVDs were distributed free through factories, companies, schools and colleges, and door-to-door efforts by the Chennai volunteers. The rural and semi-urban areas were also reached, with volunteers personally sponsoring the DVDs in some places. Online efforts were also made to inform people of the Isha Kriya free guided meditation site.
In order to reach out to more people across the country, Isha Kriya has also been released in Hindi and Tamil, recorded in Sadhguru’s voice. As a result, many people now have a powerful meditative process that they can do every day. Find out more by clicking on the links below:
