Over the past three decades, Isha Yoga has offered every individual, irrespective of their of every background, language or culture, the possibility of creating joy and balance within themselves, which brings a true sense of inner well-being. The flagship intoductory program – Inner Engineering, introduces Shambhavi Mahamudra, a simple but powerful kriya (inner energy process) for deep inner transformation which provides individuals with the tools to re-engineer one’s self through the inner science of yoga.

When it comes to inner situations, there is only one ingredient; it’s you. This one thing should happen the way you want it. We are offering this technology to people so that you can have your interiority the way you want.

Isha Uganda is Born

Over the years, through these tools for inner growth and wellbeing, millions of people have been touched by the peace and joy that pervades the core of every being. Isha Foundation has grown from its nest at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains near Coimbatore, and now has a presence throughout India and across the world. From 10th to 16th March last year, the Inner Engineering program was conducted in Kampala, Uganda, and was attended by 74 participants.

Amar, a participant in the program, recalls how those seven days changed his life.

I feel truly privileged to have had this opportunity. I’m thankful to Isha for providing me with the necessary tools to improve my overall inner wellbeing and deal with the challenges of modern day life. I can’t put a value on what I learnt from the course and highly recommend it for everyone, regardless of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. It is really a yoga for humanity.

Anja, a volunteer in the program, shares her experience.

In October 2008, I did Inner Engineering in Mumbai, India and at the end of the course I thought, ‘Would it not be great if such a course could exist in Uganda.’ It only took 2 years and Isha did arrive in Uganda…amazing! It was a beautiful experience to be a volunteer during this course and see the positive transformation in so many people. The week was intense and at the same time I gained so much energy that it kept me smiling for a good part of the year.

Uganda’s upcoming Inner Engineering program will be conducted from 25th to 31st May at the Fairway Hotel, Kampala. To enrol or volunteer for the program, get in touch with Lulu at +256 772 537891.
